We Were Charmed and Intrigued by The Old Stone House
When we were looking for a venue to host a training session for professional heritage consultants working in Alberta, The Old Stone House stood out as our first choice. Naturally, the architects, historians, and planners attending our event were charmed and intrigued by the house – especially the careful attention to detail involved in its restoration. The story and ambiance of this amazing historic place really took the event to the next level. The upstairs Stewart Room served as an excellent ‘break-out’ space.
We received glowing comments on the delicious lunch, beverages, and snacks, and Carolyne Saumer was fantastic host. Carolyne worked with us to make the event a great success. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Old Stone House as a venue for events that have that special ‘sense of place.” - Matthew Francis, Manager, Municipal Heritage Services, Alberta Culture & Community Spirit
